Keysight BM-STAMP 2026.0 is an advanced automotive stamping simulation software solution developed for virtual sheet metal forming, body manufacturing, die engineering, springback analysis, forming-limit assessment, tooling compensation, and Class-A surface quality evaluation.
Designed for demanding automotive Body-in-White (BIW) and sheet metal manufacturing applications, BM-STAMP enables engineers to simulate complex stamping processes before expensive physical tooling trials. By identifying potential forming problems virtually, engineers can optimize tooling, improve part quality, reduce development iterations, and increase confidence before production.
The BM-STAMP 2026.0 release, released by Keysight on December 19, 2025, introduces important improvements and new capabilities including Tailor Welded Blank (TWB) support, enhanced springback compensation, tool kinematic checking, compensation ignore zones, CAPY-Q.Form robustness analysis, improved edge-crack prediction, maximum failure-risk contours, faster Class-A assessment, a redesigned GUI, and automated PowerPoint reporting.
One of the important additions in BM-STAMP 2026.0 is enhanced support for Tailor Welded Blanks.
TWB technology allows blanks consisting of different materials and/or thicknesses to be welded together before forming.
This technology is widely relevant to automotive lightweighting because engineers can place stronger or thicker material only where required while reducing material elsewhere.
With BM-STAMP 2026.0, TWB definitions can be created directly at the blank stage, with independent material and thickness zones.
