- Structure of Tobii Pro Lab
Tobii Pro Lab software has three modules: design module, recording module, and analysis module, all of which come with a project overview tab. Depending on which edi Tobii Pro Lab product description (license), the available modules and features vary. Access to modules also varies depending on the type of project you are working on. Tobii Pro Lab software is an eye tracking software that provides a visual user interface to support researchers in various stages of eye tracking experiments – from experimental design and data collection to data processing and analysis.
- Project Overview
Whether you are using a screen based eye tracker or a wearable eye tracker, the project overview section provides information about project elements, such as recordings and which events are associated with the recorded files. It also provides quick access to certain analytical tools. The project overview is included in all licenses.
- Design
You can create experiments with different stimuli based on Timelines or Experiment structure in the Design module. You can edit stimulus presentation settings such as display position, background color, presentation time, and stimulus progression method (i.e., end clicking or pressing a button on the mouse to suit your experiment). In this module, you can also preview the stimuli that will be displayed on the screen. The design module can be used in conjunction with the selected screen based eye tracker in Tobii. It is indeed not suitable for Tobii Pro Glasses 2 and Tobii Pro Glasses 3 eye trackers. For information on the available features in the design module, please refer to the Tobii Connect article.
4 Records
The Record module allows you to configure eye trackers from Tobii and present different stimuli. Has high timing accuracy. You can read more about demo times in Tobii Pro Lab software in the Tobii Learn article Stimulus. You can verify calibration, record eye tracking data, mouse clicks and buttons, as well as use the Skin Electrical Response (GSR) data device from Shimmer3. The participant camera with audio allows you to record participants. The recording module will become Moderator view data during real-time viewing of track status, displayed stimuli, and gaze. The Record module is suitable for the selected screen based eye tracker in Tobii Pro. It is not compatible with Tobii Pro Glasses 2 and Tobii Pro Glasses 3. 5 Analysis
The Analyze module enables you to replay, visualize, and analyze recorded data. It provides data filtering functionality, visualization, and the ability to export data for demonstration and further manipulation in third-party software. In addition, it also provides assistance and manual mapping.
